Once a safe haven has been arranged in criminal court, it is then necessary to persuade the government not to file removal proceedings based on the disposition.  Failing that, it is necessary to persuade the immigration court to terminate proceedings, since the disposition does not fall within any ground of deportation.  The certified copies will be of assistance where the record clearly establishes that the disposition does not trigger deportation.
